The first international cooperation meeting between Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan is being held on October 8 and 9 in Tehran (Espinas Hotel).

Iran PressIran news: In this two-day expert meeting held at the ministerial level, expert discussions will also take place among experts in the transit field of these countries.

Mehdi Safari, Economic Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, said: "This meeting leads to more coordinated policy between the present countries."

He went on to say that Iran's president Ebrahim Raisi asked us to invite the Central Asian countries for a discussion and help to remove the obstacles.

Safari added that Iran will provide easy transit routes to its landlocked neighbors and will take advantage of its transit capacities.

The Economic Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that the more countries are connected, the more economic benefits will be achieved.

he added: "We are currently working together to provide these facilities to landlocked countries, and we will hold an international conference in this field soon."

Shahriar Afandizadeh, the Deputy Transport Minister of Roads and Urban Development, also said in this meeting: "According to Iran's agreements with other countries, a new era in transit is taking shape, and in line with the Samarqmand Summit, we are trying to share efforts in the field of transportation." 

He added: "In the current meeting, which is considered an initiative to strengthen the relations of the present countries in the field of balance, it is hoped that the parties will sign the final statement."

According to Mohammad Mokhbar's invitation, Azerbaijan and Russia have also been asked to join us in this meeting tomorrow so that cooperation in investment and project construction will increase.
