Tehran (IP) - Iran's top negotiator in Vienna talks says the Islamic Republic is serious about the revival of the Iran Nuclear Deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) but does not fully trust the Western parties.

Iran PressIran news: The eighth round of talks on removing sanctions, which began on December 27, 2021, entered a breathtaking phase on March 11, 2022, at the suggestion of EU Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell, and the negotiators returned to their capitals for political consultations.

Ali Bagheri Kani said Iran adopted 'neutralization of sanctions' as a policy against the West's approach to hinder the country's development, spoiling their dreams.

Since then, the parties have spoken of progress in the negotiations and the reduction of disputes, but the issue of guarantees and the removal of natural and legal persons from the red list and the set of sanctions, are also among the cases in which the United States, as a violator of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), has not made the necessary political decision to resolve them.

On the sidelines of his visit to the international exhibition of oil, gas, and petrochemicals on Sunday, Bagheri Kani said Iran reached the knowledge to neutralize George Bush's Smart Sanction, Obama's Paralyzing Sanction, and Trump's Maximum Pressure policy.

Other countries sanctioned are now seeking to obtain "sanctions' neutralization knowledge" from Iran, he added.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted the role of technological advancement in boosting diplomacy in favor of lifting the sanctions imposed on the country and said: "The sustainability of lifting the sanctions depends on the maintenance and promotion of the complex and soft capabilities in neutralizing the sanctions."

On May 8, 2018, the US unilaterally withdrew the internationally-signed JCPOA.
