Iran Press/ Middle East: The Israeli regime's troops attacked the Palestinian worshipers gathered in al-Aqsa Mosque, firing rubber-coated steel bullets, tear gas, and stun grenades at them during the assault in the early morning.
The regime's troops have also stormed into the mosque and attacked the worshipers, injuring and arresting people.
On Thursday, Palestine's Hamas called on people across the country to launch a gathering in al-Aqsa Mosque's courtyards on Friday to protest the Israeli regime's desecration of Al-Quds city and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Aqsa Mosque is known as the main symbol of the Islamic-Palestinian identity, and the Israeli regime has always been trying to destroy the important place, but the resistance and vigilance of the Palestinian people have spoiled the Israeli regime's plots.
According to the Palestine Red Crescent, 152 injured people were taken from the mosque and transferred to hospitals near the site.
Some of the Palestinians injured are in critical conditions. The Israeli regime has also detained more than 400 others, Director of al-Aqsa Mosque said.
The Israeli troops have completely withdrawn from al-Aqsa Mosque after facing resistance from Palestinians. As the Iran Press footage shows, thousands of Palestinians are currently entering the mosque following the reopening of its doors to hold Friday prayers.
The Israeli regime has invaded Palestine since 1948.
