Hamas spokeswoman condemns Australian action against the movement, stating that the one who should be declared a terrorist is the Israeli regime.

Iran PressMiddle East: Minister for Home Affairs at The Australian Government, Karen Andrews has announced the government's decision to recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization.

Furthermore, Australia had previously banned only the group's military wing.

Hazem Qasim, spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned Australia in a statement on Thursday and called it a clear support for the occupying regime which encourages it to continue its aggression against the Palestinian nation.

"Australia's move is in violation of all international laws and charters that protect the Palestinian people's right to resist the occupiers. Hamas is a national freedom seeking movement that is fighting the occupiers in accordance with international law," Qasim said.

Hazem Qasim said that the one who should be called a terrorist is the occupying regime, targeting Palestinians everywhere and violating international and humanitarian laws and charters.

Australia's anti-Palestinian action and its support for the Israeli regime have taken place amid the efforts of human rights groups to support the rights of Palestinians which urges calling the Israeli regime as the apartheid and it have become very newsworthy in recent weeks.

Naftali Bennett, the Prime Minister of Israel, while welcoming the Australian move in recognizing terrorism as the whole of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), thanked the Prime Minister of Australia.

Australia's decision to declare the entire Hamas movement as terrorist organization comes at a time when the United States, Britain, Germany and some of Israel's other Western allies have already taken this anti-Palestinian action.
