Beijing (IP) - Iran's foreign minister says his country and China, as the two great civilizations in West and East Asia, have enjoyed good, stable and strong relations during history.

Iran PressAsia: As Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has taken a trip to Beijing on Wednesday, he wrote his views on the course of historical relations between Iran and China, which were published in the Chinese Global Times.

In the introduction to his note, he wished the Iranian people all the best for their Chinese friends, saying: "I am visiting China on the occasion of the beginning of 2022 and on the eve of the Chinese New Year Tiger and 1401 solar year."

Amir-Abdollahian referred to the anniversary of the establishment of relations with China and wrote: "Our two countries will celebrate the 51st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and will enter the second half of the century of bilateral exchange, which opens a new page of our relationship."

"Especially coinciding with the Chinese Communist Party entering the journey of its second 100 years, the visit will be a promising new horizon for our promotion and development of cooperation in various domains," he added.

Heading a high-ranking political delegation, the Iranian foreign minister arrived in Beijing on Friday to hold talks with Chinese officials.

Amir-Abdollahian will discuss bilateral political, economic and cultural relations, as well as international and regional issues, with Chinese officials.
