Urmia (IP)- The governor of Erbil said that the governorate wants to expand economic cooperation between the Iraqi Kurdistan region and Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking to IranPress on the sidelines of a visit to West Azerbaijan province on Monday evening, Omed Abdul Rahman Hassan, the governor of Erbil, said that good agreements had been reached with officials in West Azerbaijan province to expand economic cooperation. The two sides agreed to vigorously promote economic activities on the border of Haj Omran or Tamarchin.

Omed Abdul Rahman Hassan stated that in addition to the agreement on the expansion of economic activities, good agreements were reached between the two sides in tourism, medicine, and academic fields.

A delegation from the Erbil governorate of Iraq has traveled to Urmia, the capital of West Azerbaijan Province, to discuss strengthening trade and economic relations between Iran and the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
