Tehran (IP) – Iranian minister of information and communications technology hoped to create a high-speed and high-quality network across the country by relying on domestic capacities.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press on Saturday and on the sidelines of the 22nd Telecom Exhibition at the Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds, Issa Zare'pour said: "People's lives during the coronavirus outbreak were tied to the technology and communications. The opportunity was fostered ,and all services were made available to the people."

The 22nd Telecom Exhibition indicated the achievements of Iran's communication infrastructure fields, he pointed out, stressing that suitable measures were taken in this regard.

Iran's ICT Minister Issa Zare'pour visited the 22nd Telecom Exhibition at the Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds on Saturday, December 24, 2021.

Attending his first press conference on December 18, he had Talked about the national information network the ministry is seeking to establish:

"The National Information Network is a big project, parts of which has been implemented in the last 8 years, and we have made about 35 to 40 percent progress," he stated.

"Establishing the National Information Network does not mean cutting off access to the global Internet, but it involves the time when the country wants to connect with international communications, use its maximum capacity and have a good experience in the future," he noted.
