Iran Press/ Africa: The Sebha Court ruled, Thursday, that the candidate Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi should return to the elections race in Libya.
The Libyan Electoral Commission had announced that the preliminary list of candidates for the presidential elections included 73 people, the leader of the Libyan National Army, Khalifa Haftar, the Speaker of Parliament, Aqila Saleh, and the head of the Interim Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.
The commission said at the time that Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the second son of the Libyan leader who was killed in 2011, was not eligible to run in the country's next presidential elections, citing his previous convictions.
Libya is scheduled to hold the first round of presidential elections on December 24, after years of attempts led by the United Nations to end the civil war and achieve political stability in the country.
