Iran Press/ Iran news: Saeed Khatibzadeh, on behalf of the Iranian nation and government, congratulated the presidential election in Nicaragua, hailing it as the demonstration of democracy and elections in peace.
Khatibzadeh expressed hope that the results of the elections would lead to further growth and development in Nicaragua.
Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has won Sunday's 2021 presidential election for the fourth consecutive term.
According to the Nicaraguan Supreme Council of Elections, half of the votes have been counted and Ortega won about 75% of the polls.
