Iran joined 8 WIPO treaties

Tehran (IP) - The Head of the State Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties, said: "Iran has so far joined eight of the 17 effective agreements under the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in industrial property and will soon agree to the Vienna and Strasbourg agreements and the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement."

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Ali Mirtaheri, referring to the situation of Iran in the latest ranking of the Global Innovation Index (GII) said: "Iran is currently the second most innovative industry in the region, with a growth of 7 steps compared to last year. It also is one of the middle-income countries that have the highest branches of science and technology.

He added: "The most innovative industries in Iran are chemistry, medicine, and mechanics, which have the most national and international patent applications in Iran. Iran has also made significant progress in nanotechnology, robotics, and stem cells."
