Tehran (IP) - Iranian officials announced an increase in the COVIran Barekat vaccine production capacity.

Iran Press/Iran News: Hojjatullah Niki-Maleki, head of the information center of the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order (EIKO), wrote on his Twitter page on Sunday: "Currently producing 200,000 doses of vaccines per week."

Niki-Maleki added: "So far, two million and fifty thousand doses of vaccine have been delivered to the Ministry of Health of Iran, and since this week, the production capacity has been increased."

"We will try to keep our promise to produce more than 50 million doses of vaccine until the end of September," Niki-Maleki wrote.

Niki-Maleki also wrote: "Once domestic needs are met, we also want to export it."
