Tehran (IP) - Iranian Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education called for making immediate decisions by the national task force for fighting the coronavirus to suspend flights to/from Moscow to prevent further outbreak of the coronavirus.

Iran PressIran News: Saeed Namaki's letter to the Deputy Health Minister Alireza Raisi was quoted by Iran press as saying on Sunday: "According to reports from Russia regarding the outbreak of COVID-19, it is necessary to raise the topic on suspension of flights to Moscow and vice versa immediately at a meeting of the social and security committee of Iran’s national task force for fighting the coronavirus and immediate decisions should be made."

According to the report, 90% of people infected with the coronavirus in the Russian capital, Moscow, is infected with the Indian mutant virus.

The sharp increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in Russia, especially in Moscow, has once again has raised the concerns of Russian officials.
