Iran Press/ Iran News: In a virtual meeting named "Preservation of Persian Language and Literature and Commemoration of Ferdowsi" on Saturday, the Head of the Saadi Foundation, Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said: "With his Shahnameh, Ferdowsi created an eternal epic that did not belong only to one nation and country, but it had been the epic of the nations of this region.
Haddad-Adel added: "ECO member states have a history and geography in common, which has led to the emergence of a common culture among the people of these countries. The Persian language has been the basis of this common culture throughout history."
Referring to the place and role of Ferdowsi in the Persian language, Haddad-Adel said: "The person who most contributes to the permanence and strength of the Persian language is Abolqasem Ferdowsi, and whenever the name of the Persian language is mentioned, his name comes to mind."
Haddad-Adel stressed: "Let's not forget celebrations like Nowruz and use this common culture and Persian language as a means of all kinds of political, cultural, and economic cooperation."
