Tehran (IP) – The head of the Plan and Budget Organization said the government not only supported Iran's Health Ministry but also provided medicines and medical equipment for the ministry.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mohammad Baqer Nobakht stated that with the preferred currency in next year's budget, a special quota was allocated and would be continued.

He noted that future generations would praise Iran Health Ministry that acted outstandingly dealing with the coronavirus and other issues.

He pointed out that in addition to COVID-19, the Ministry of Health had taken important steps to equip hospitals with 11,000 beds.

"All facilities in the country to deal with COVID-19 have been provided to the health sector as the Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that 3300 billion Tomans a month have been spent to support the medical staff and 15200 billion Tomans to equip, strengthen, and cheer them up," Nobakht highlighted.

"In addition to the 23,000 employment licenses last year, we have given 30,000 new licenses to the Ministry of Health to recruit personnel," said the official.

Nobakht added that the World Bank had only released a small amount of Iran's frozen assets in various countries so that Iran can fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
