Tehran (IP) - The Minister of Defense underlined that Martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, as a prominent scientist in the field of nuclear physics, was the flag bearer of resistance against nuclear threats.

Iran PressIran News: On the occasion of the 40th day of the martyrdom of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a nuclear and defense scientist, a commemoration ceremony was held in the mosque of the Atomic Energy Organization with the presence of Brigadier General Amir Hatami, Minister of Defense, Ali Akbar Salehi, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Parliament on International Affairs, and several military and national officials and the family of Martyr Fakhrizadeh.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Brigadier General Amir Hatami told reporters: "Part of the work of the martyred scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was in the field of nuclear defense, and he did valuable actions in this field."

"One of the most important threats in the world is nuclear threats," he said, adding: "The United States and the occupying Zionist regime have thousands and hundreds of nuclear bombs and are a threat to the security of the people of the world."

Hatami stated that Martyr Fakhrizadeh, as a prominent scientist in the field of nuclear physics, was the flag bearer of resistance against nuclear threats.

He stated that not only with the assassination of Fakhrizadeh, the scientific and research process of Sepand Organization was not stopped, but also the credibility of this group was increased and the sense of responsibility of its employees was doubled.

The Minister of Defense noted: "Thanks to the blood of this martyr, the government made an important decision and the research budget of the Ministry of Defense was increased by 250%."

"The enemies are sensitive to our economy, Iran's presence in the region to create security, missile power and the peaceful use of nuclear energy, especially nuclear and missile defense," said Hatami, adding that the Sepand staff had realized that the organization was a pain in the enemies' neck.

He emphasized: "Part of Martyr Fakhrizadeh's efforts to protect the lives of the people was to neutralize the threats of the US nuclear program and the Zionist regime, and today the staff of Sepand Complex will continue the path of this high-ranking martyr with double motivation."
