Press Conference:

Iran's Guardian Council has approved key legislation, including bills on the protection of Iranians abroad, intensified punishments for espionage, and the regulation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), all deemed consistent with Islamic law and the Constitution.

Iran's Guardian Council Spokesman, Tahan Nazif, confirmed that the Bill on the Protection of Iranians Abroad has been ratified and will soon be promulgated and implemented.

Tahan Nazif stated: "After the necessary amendments were made by the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the subsequent review by the Guardian Council, this bill was found to conform with Islamic law and the Constitution. God willing, it will soon be promulgated and implemented".

 

He also discussed the Plan for Intensifying Punishments for Espionage and Collaboration with the Zionist Regime and Hostile States against National Security and Interests, noting that the Guardian Council had no objections to its legal and constitutional compatibility.
“This plan does not contravene Islamic law or the Constitution and has now been officially promulgated,” Tahan Nazif explained.

 

Additionally, he mentioned that the Bill on the Regulation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) had also been reviewed and deemed consistent with the relevant legal and constitutional principles.

Tahan Nazif reaffirmed that the Guardian Council remains committed to ensuring that all legislation aligns fully with the framework of Islamic law and the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
