Pakistani Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan met with Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam in Islamabad to advance bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The two countries are working to deepen commercial ties, streamline border logistics, and expand food and agricultural trade, with a shared goal of reaching $10 billion in annual trade by 2028.

  • Khan invited Iranian firms to join the Food Egg 2025 expo in Karachi (Nov. 25–27), calling it a key business platform.
  • He proposed official visits by the Balochistan Chief Minister and Zahedan Governor to boost regional cooperation.
  • Iran has imported 400,000 tons of rice and 300,000 tons of meat from Pakistan and is now ready to buy animal feed and corn.
  • Amiri Moghadam welcomed the resumption of Quetta–Zahedan flights.
  • Khan confirmed the Pak-Iran Free Trade Agreement draft will be submitted soon and thanked Iran for supporting barter trade reforms.

Both sides backed the Mand-Pishin Border Market and called for early openings of Chegdi-Kohk and Gabd-Remdan crossings.
