Israeli fighter jets have just hit targets in the Yemeni capital Sana'a and al-Jawf on Wednesday evening.

Why it matters:

Yemen is the only Arab country in the Islamic world that has stood against the Israeli regime's genocidal war on Gaza and Israel's so-called idea of "Great Israel."

What we're watching:

Spokesperson for Yemen’s Oil Company: "During Israel’s aggression, a fuel station dedicated to the health sector in southwest Sana'a was targeted."

A high-ranking Yemeni military official: "We will punish the Zionist regime for this aggression. Israel solely targets civilian objectives. Several civilians were martyred and injured, and all these sacrifices will not deter us from supporting Gaza and punishing the Zionist regime.

Yemeni Armed Forces: "Yemen’s air defense systems thwarted the bulk of the Zionist regime’s aerial aggression. Our air defense fired several surface-to-air missiles to counter the Zionist regime’s aggression, forcing some air squadrons to retreat before executing their attack, and the majority of the attack failed."

Yemeni Ministry of Health and Environment released primary statistics about the casualties of the Israeli attack on Sana'a and al-Jawf: 9 people were martyred and 118 others were injured.

What they're saying:

Some sources, including the Reuters news agency and Israeli television networks, claimed that Israel had targeted the Yemeni Ministry of Defense. Still, Yemeni sources said that the target was the medical station on Shastam Street in Sanaa.
