Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned Israel’s airstrike on Qatar, calling it an illegal, inhumane, and anti-peace act that undermines diplomacy and regional stability.

Why it matters:

The strike, targeting Palestinian resistance leaders in Doha, marks an escalation of Israeli aggression in the region, raising fears of wider instability and challenging international institutions to respond.

What he’s saying:

“This terrorist act shows that the Zionist regime recognizes no boundaries for crime and terror, and at the same time destroys any attempt at diplomacy.”

He called on the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other international bodies to take immediate, decisive, and practical action against Israel’s “blatant violation of sovereignty.”

Pezeshkian said that sustainable peace in the region can only be achieved by ending occupation and aggression.

He expressed solidarity with Qatar and the Palestinian people, stressing that Israeli aggression will only strengthen regional unity against occupation
