Speaking at the trilateral meeting of the interior ministers of Iran, Iraq and Pakistan on the topic of Arbaeen, Eskandar Momeni added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that Arbaeen is a religious, transnational movement and a manifestation of Islamic solidarity and a platform for strengthening regional cooperation."
Momeni emphasized the prominent role of the Iraqi government and nation in hosting this great ceremony and the status of Pakistan as one of the countries from which many pilgrims participate in the Arbaeen ceremony, emphasizing the need for trilateral cooperation and said, "This trilateral cooperation should be elevated to a strategic position."
Referring to the 12-day imposed war by the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Minister of the Interior appreciated the official and firm positions of Pakistan and Iraq in condemning the Zionist regime's aggressions and supporting the rights of the Iranian people in self-defense.
