ISRAELI WAR ON IRAN

The Iraqi Prime Minister said that the violation of Iraqi airspace by the Israeli regime was an infringement and violation of Iraq's sovereignty and the United Nations Charter.

Why it matters:

Israel's violation of Iraqi airspace along with noumers violations of this ilk indicates more ane more that the Israeli regime disregards internatioal rules and that the international bodies either are reluctant or fearful to do anything against the violations.

The big picture:

On June 13, the Israeli regime, in clear violation of international law and the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, targeted areas in Tehran and some other cities, including nuclear facilities, medical centers and hospitals, as well as residential areas of the country, with a military attack.

  • A number of commanders and cadres of the armed forces, scientists, aid workers, and civilians were martyred in this terrorist attack.

What he's saying:

Muhammed Shia al-Soudani: "The violation of Iraq's airspace by the Zionist regime was an encroachment and aggression against Iraq's sovereignty and the United Nations Charter, and we have submitted a complaint to the United Nations Security Council in this regard."

State of play:

In continuation of the aggression, the United States also joined the Israeli regime's war against Iran on Sunday morning (July 1) by directly attacking the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites.
