Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at a press conference, Mohajerani referred to the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza over the past year, calling it a "full-scale human tragedy." She emphasized Iran's ongoing efforts to reduce the hardships faced by the innocent people in both Gaza and southern Lebanon.
“In line with the Islamic Republic’s principles, we are doing everything we can to mitigate the suffering of the people in Gaza and Lebanon,” she said.
Iran’s Diplomatic Efforts and Peace Proposals
Addressing a question regarding Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's recent diplomatic visits to the region, Mohajerani reiterated Iran’s commitment to peace. "The Islamic Republic supports any peace proposal that helps improve the situation in the region," she said. “We will definitely take active steps toward achieving peace.”
She underlined Iran's defensive posture in the region, stating, “Iran has never initiated a war but has always been resolute in its defense, as demonstrated during the eight years of the Holy Defense.”
Referring to Iran's recent retaliatory operation against the Israeli regime, she added, “What happened in the ‘True Promise II’ operation is only a glimpse of Iran's capabilities. Iran will respond decisively whenever necessary. Let no one doubt that.”
### **Iran's Economic Outlook**
When asked about Iran’s economic growth, Mohajerani highlighted the government's focus on improving productivity and attracting foreign investment. She projected a 4% economic growth rate in the near future, while stressing the need for substantial foreign investment to achieve higher targets.
“To reach 8% growth, we need around $200 billion in foreign investments,” she explained. “We are working on enhancing cooperation with neighboring countries, improving productivity systems, and creating an environment that is more attractive to investors.”
Stance on Chabahar Land Sales
In response to a question regarding the potential sale of Chabahar land to foreign entities, Mohajerani firmly denied any such possibility.
“Iran will never compromise its security for economic gains,” she asserted. “Chabahar lands will not be sold. If necessary, there may be joint exploitation based on mutual interests, but the ownership of the land will always remain with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
