To observe coronavirus health protocols, health officials prevented crowds inside the mosque, and prayers were held in and around the mosque.
The mosque has been a museum and a historical site for 86 years, visited by foreign tourists, especially Christians. Still, it converted back into a mosque a few months after a court ruling in Turkey.
