Iran Press/ Iran news: The first phase of the project to transfer the water supply line to the villages of the rural district of 'Gheyzaniyeh' was inaugurated on Saturday with the presence of the Governor-General of Khuzestan Province Gholamreza Shariati.
With the implementation of this project, 17,000 cubic meters of water will reach 30 villages in this district day and night.
The district of Gheyzaniyeh has been facing the problem of water shortage for the past few days and by using all the provincial and national capacities and by the order of President Hassan Rouhani, solving the problem of water shortage in this region has accelerated.
The President also had said that the governor-general, provincial officials, and all related agencies should plan and take the necessary steps to prevent the problem and hardship for the people of Khuzestan with regards to their drinking water in the summer so that people do not face such problems.
The credit of the first phase of the project to transfer the water to the villages of Gheyzaniyeh has been announced as 45 billion Tomans. The villages of Gheyzaniyeh district have a population of more than 13,000.
