Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said the assassination of the commander of Iran’s elite Quds Force, Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, will be answered by a strategic retaliation and will surely end US presence in the region.

Iran Press/Iran news: Major General Hossein Salami, on Saturday, described late Lieutenant General Soleimani as the architect of US strategic failures in the past decades and emphasized that his assassination was the beginning of the end of America's presence in the region.

He said General Soleimani never allowed US field policies and operational strategies to be implemented in the region.

Major General Salami added that Qasem Soleimani put the Zionist regime on the brink of death by reinforcing the Palestinian front, which today has full control over the occupied territories.

"The art of General Soleimani was to take the advantage of the enemy's threats and turning them into opportunity," the commander-in-chief said, stressing that Americans were always suffering catastrophic failures.

Referring to the presence of US troops in some countries in the region, he said: "Whoever hosts the US is the enemy of the Muslim nations; We warn them to reconsider their covert behavior and conspiracies and not sacrifice themselves to American politics".

Salami described the future of the region as brilliant and clear and added, with the end of the American presence, the region will enjoy stability, prosperity, balance, and security.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, military commander of Iran’s elite Quds Force, along with a number of other military figures were martyred by direct order of US President Donald Trump in the early hours of Friday morning 3 January 2020.
