Iranian President in a meeting with Germany's visiting Foreign Minister said Iran won't be locked under US pressure and sanctions.

Iran Press/Iran news: Hassan Rouhani said that US withdrawal from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has no impact on the security of the region and it just caused some engagement problems between countries.

President Rouhani called developing political and economic ties with the European Union as important by saying: "EU should stand against US economic terrorism imposed on Iranian nation and also observe its promised commitments in 2015 nuclear deal."

Rouhani noted to US and its allies' provocations in the region and said: "With imposing pressures and sanctions against Iranian nation and state, security and stability in the region never will be achieved."

For his turn, Germany's Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that everyone who is familiar with Iranian history should know that maximum pressure strategy against Iranian nation will never have a good result."

Maas noted to the wrong action of US President Donald Trump withdrawal from 2015 nuclear deal and said EU countries are united in keeping and saving economic cooperation with Iran.
