Iran's presidential candidate:
Mohsen Mehralizadeh

Tehran (IP) - Mohsen Mehralizadeh, candidate for Iran's 13th round of the presidential election said that a competitive economy would be realized through the reduction of the government's share in the economy.

Iran PressIran news: As a part of his election campaign on IRIB Radio, Mohsen Mehralizadeh said on Friday that when a competitive economy prevailed, production would grow, inflation would be controlled, and commodity price fluctuations would be prevented.

Mehralizadeh pointed to the scientific patterns experienced in the world as 'social economy' and said the social economy was a developmental economy accompanied by social care.

He noted that the social economy could be followed by the needed social security, pension, services, healthcare, medical expenditure, and minimal salary.

As with the COVID-19 vaccination, the candidate said the pace of vaccination was low, and the presence of the active private sector was essential in the process.

Mohsen Mehralizadeh pointed to the enemies' efforts to discourage people from participation in the election and stressed that space must be broken so that people could make good use of their legal "right to choose" in a democracy.

Iran’s 13th presidential election will be held on June 18.
