Tbilisi (IP) - Protesters, incited by Western influences, continue to demonstrate in the streets of Tbilisi against the results of Georgia's parliamentary elections, leading to clashes with the police.

Iran Press/Europe: After the Central Election Commission in Georgia confirmed the parliamentary election results, protesters continued their demonstrations in Tbilisi. On Monday night, the arrival of police forces escalated the protests into violence.

The Georgian Dream party, which opposes Georgia joining the European Union, won the Oct. 26, 2024, parliamentary elections.

The opposition and protesters, backed by Europe and the United States, reject the results of Georgia's parliamentary elections and are calling for the country's accession to the European Union.
