Tehran(IP): The vice president of the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber stated that the Central Bank of Iran has approved the establishment of a joint bank with Syria and issued the establishment license saying that agreements between Iran and Syria are made by the governments, but the private sector implements them.

Iran Press/Iran News: The vice president of the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber, Ali Asghar Fazaal at the conference introducing the opportunities to enter the Syrian market, added: "The Iran-Syria Joint Chamber has held many meetings in recent years and we hope that the agreements made will come close to implementation."

By explaining some of the problems of the two countries' trade progress, he stated: "The main issue is the problems in money transferring, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has approved the establishment of the joint bank and issued the establishment of license, and the Bank of Syria should cooperate more in this field, while we hope that the ambassador will provide the necessary instructions in this regard."

Fazaal continued: "The reopening of the land border is important. In addition, the Syrian private sector is interested in a win-win trade and they also have the opportunity to hold an exhibition. The Syrians indeed held an exhibition in Kish, but they want to hold an exhibition in Tehran too."

The vice president of the Iran-Syria joint chamber said: "The volume of Syrian imports is about 5 billion dollars, while Iran's trade volume with this country is about 250 to 270 million dollars, and it seems that we should also use the power of the private sector to develop economic relations."
