Iran Press/Europe: People held protests in the streets of London, the capital of UK, as well as many other cities including York, Belfast, Leeds, and Manchester.
In London, Whitehall has been brought to a standstill, with demonstrators chanting "Boris Johnson, shame on you", BBC reported.
In Westminster also a group of counter-protesters marched in support of the prime minister.
Boris Johnson announced on Wednesday that he plans to prorogue the House of Commons, a decision that has prompted an angry backlash from MPs and opponents of a no-deal Brexit.
When Parliament is suspended, no debates and votes are held. This is different from "dissolving" Parliament - where all MPs give up their seats to campaign in a general election. 101/211/215
