After days of tireless search efforts, the body of Major General Abbas Nilforoushan, a senior military advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who was martyred on September 27, alongside Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, in a brutal attack by the Israeli regime has been discovered in Beirut’s Dahiyeh neighborhood.

Iran PressIran news:  The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed the recovery of the remains, hailing General Nilforoushan as a distinguished figure in the Resistance Front.

In a statement, the IRGC offered condolences to the martyr’s family and his fellow fighters, emphasizing his legacy as a hero of the Islamic Resistance.

The details of the return of General Nilforoushan’s body to Iran, as well as the funeral and burial arrangements, will be announced at a later date.

The attack, which targeted key figures of the Resistance, has sparked widespread condemnation across the region.

On Friday, September 27, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with the backing of U.S. support, issued an order for the assassination of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, from the United Nations headquarters in New York.

Following this directive, Israeli warplanes launched heavy and successive airstrikes on the residential neighborhoods of Harat Hreik in Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh) on Friday night.

According to certain Israeli sources, the attack involved between 8 to 12 fighter jets, which used U.S.-supplied 2,000-pound bunker-buster bombs.

In these attacks, key resistance figures, including Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah and General Abbas Nilforoushan, were martyred.
