Belgrade (IP) - Iran's freestyle wrestlers finished the 2023 Belgrade World Championships as the runner-up.

Iran PressEurope: Achieving one gold, two silvers, and one bronze in the wrestling competition held in Serbia's Belgrade, the Iranian wrestling team stood in second place in the world.

Amir-Hossein Zare achieved the gold in the 125 kg weight category; the silver medals also were snatched by Amir-Mohammad Yazdani and Hassan Yazdani, respectively, in the 70 kg and 86 kg weight categories; and Mohammad Nokhodi won the bronze medal. 

The US stood in the first place, and Georgia won the third place.
