Qatar (IP): Iran's Political Deputy Foreign Minister, in a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, said that sustainable peace and stability depend on development and progress in the countries of the region.

Iran PressMiddle East: Ali Bagheri, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs met and talked with Qatar's Deputy Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs Mohammad bin Abdul Aziz al-Khalifi, on Wednesday night during his trip to Doha.

Referring to the firm resolution of the two countries to consolidate regional stability, the political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated: "Regional peace and stability depends on everyone's serious determination to form the necessary infrastructure for development and progress in all the countries of the region."

He added: "Peace and stability that does not lead to development and progress is temporary, unstable and slow."

Referring to the progressing relations between the two countries, Mohammad Al-Khalifi said: "Iran and Qatar are always partners in the peace and stability of the region."

Bagheri also met and talked with Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary-General of the European Union.

Bagheri tweeted about this:" I had a serious and productive meeting with Enrique Mora in Doha. We discussed and exchanged opinions on a range of issues, including negotiations to lift sanctions."
