Iran Press/ Iran News: "From the very beginning, we took their animosity very serious, so their attempts to sabotage in missile program failed to achieve desired goals," said the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said in a ceremony in Tehran, on Sunday.

According to Iran Press news agency, Hajizadeh said: "Enemies claim that they try to sabotage in our missile program with sending defective and faulty parts, their anticipation was that missiles should have exploded after launch or did not hit the targets as precisely as they were programmed."
Recalling the Iran's enemies' efforts to prevent Iran from buying and importing different parts of missiles at the beginning stages of the program, Hajizadeh added: "They prevented us from importing major and then fins and relatively smaller parts for our missiles; hence, when they observed that the program keeps moving ahead, they started subversion and sabotage efforts in imported electronic parts."
"It was not new for us; we knew the facts about enemies' subversive efforts some seven, eight years ago and frankly, they did it so well in some cases; nevertheless, we decided not to make it public," he continued.
Hajizadeh reminding that in Iran's oil sector, there were similar cases of sabotage also; but at the end of day, they could not do any harm to us because in our side, those who were responsible, vigilantly anticipated such a move, took it serious from the very beginning and fortification occurred against their efforts."
In recent years, Iran has made major breakthroughs in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in manufacturing military equipment and hardware despite sanctions and economic pressures on the country.
