Iranian sportsmen and women visit Imam Khomeini holy shrine in the 29th anniversary of Imam Khomeini's passing away on Monday.

Iranian athletes, accompanied by minister for sport and youth, Masoud  Soltanifar, and minister of culture and Islamic guidance, Abbas Salehi,  visited Imam Khomeini's holy shrine in south Tehran on Monday, on the occasion of 29th anniversary of Imam Khomeini's passing away.

Addressing young people, minister of culture and Islamic guidance,   Abbas Salehi, said:  "If young people and the newer generation want to learn about Imam Khomeini's thoughts and ideas, they can obtain a deep insight by referring  to Ayatollah Khamenei's thoughts and ideas.

He added there is good unity, stability and calmness in our sport and it is due to the  minister of youth and sport , Dr. Solthanifar, and we must all do what we can to help him.

Iran's minister of sport and youth, Masoud Soltanifar , for his part said: "Today, we need Imam Khomeini's ideas more than ever before". 

Soltanifar  added:  "We must bring joy to people  by our successes in sporting competions and  events. We must show what we are capable of at international sporting events".

In the end of this meeting Seyyed Hassan Khomeini wished good luck and success  for all Iranian athletes in  all national and international sporting events.
