Twin suicide bombs rocked a busy market in central Baghdad on Thursday morning, killing at least 13 people.

Iran Press/Middle East: Security forces say they pursued the two attackers before they blew themselves up. It was the first suicide attack to strike Baghdad in nearly two years.

Brigadier General Hazem al-Azzawi, the director of Baghdad Operations Command, told the Iraq News Agency (INA) that a “double explosion” hit a crowded market in the Bab al-Sharji area near Tayaran Square.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the bombings.
