Iran Press/ Africa: Women, men, and children in black dress marched through the major streets in the ancient city of Sokoto to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) on Ashura.
Some years back, Shi'a mourners had faced oppression by the authorities in the state during Ashura commemorations and many followers of Ahlulbayt were killed while some were detained.
