Iran Press/ Africa: Sudan's political process was established on December 5, 2022, in the form of a political framework agreement, the most important clause of which is the withdrawal of the military from the politic.
The meeting was held in a tripartite mechanism with the participation of the United Nations, the African Union, and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), in which the army emphasized his full commitment to withdraw from politics and return to the barracks.
The representative of the African Union emphasized that the dialogue and transparency are a start to the formation of a transitional civilian government in Sudan.
Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the chairman of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan, emphasized the commitment of the army to leave the political structure and the future government and said that the army will do its main work to protect the country.
Yasser Arman, a member of FFC, in an interview with IranPress in Khartoum, announced the goal of the political process in Sudan to create a new society and transition from a partial government to a national one and said that everything is based on the principle of the rule of law and the rights of citizens.
By holding demonstrations in Khartoum and other cities, the people of Sudan announced that the army will not be completely removed from power even with the political framework agreement, that's why they started to continue the protests.
