Tehran(IP): The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran left Tehran on Friday for Munich to attend the 58th Munich Security Conference.

Iran PressIran News:  The Munich Security Conference will be held Friday for three days with the participation of officials and security experts from around the world.

This meeting will be held this year due to the outbreak of omicron strain with the presence of a limited number of country officials.

The Munich Security Conference was held virtually for two consecutive years due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

US Vice President Kamala Harris and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will attend this year's Munich Security Conference, along with 35 other world leaders.

This year, the Munich Security Conference will be held at the luxurious Bayerischer Hof Hotel under tight security and observing health conditions.

Instead of the more than 2,000 participants who normally attended the Munich Security Conference, only 600 guests will be accepted this year.

This is the last Munich security conference to be chaired by Wolfgang  Ischinger, who will be replaced by Christoph Hüsgen, the former adviser to Angela Merkel.
