Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian Parliamentary Director General for International Affairs Hussein Amir-Abdollahian has written on his Twitter account that Iran cannot pin hope on Europe anymore to implement Iran nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as three major European countries of Britain, France and Germany share the work with the United States to weaken the Islamic Republic of Iran [through the sanctions.]
The parliamentary official further criticized the EU-launched financial mechanism for Iran to skirt the US sanctions known as the INSTEX as lacking the capability to help Tehran, stressing that Iran needs an action that can radically change the structure of economic terrorism namely the sanctions.
In May 2018, US President Donald Trump pulled his country out of the JCPOA.
Iran and the remaining parties launched talks to salvage JCPOA after the US withdrawal, but the three EU parties to the deal (France, Britain, and Germany) have failed to ensure Iran’s economic interests.
The EU’s inaction forced Tehran to stop honoring certain commitments to the nuclear deal, but Tehran says the steps that it has taken are reversible and will be fully committed to the JCPOA if the Europeans fully uphold their end of the bargain.
