Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, said that the relations between the two sides are on the right track and two strategic documents and a roadmap for agricultural cooperation were signed in the Joint Economic Commission.

The Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, after meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, Péter Szijjártó, in a joint press conference said: "The relations between the two sides are on the right track and two strategic documents and a roadmap for agricultural cooperation was signed in the Joint Economic Commission. We emphasized the implementation of the agreements made by the commission."

In the press conference with his Hungarian counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran called for the realization of Palestinians' rights and the cessation of the genocide in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli regime."

Iran's top diplomat emphasized the adoption of political solutions and the resolutions of the United Nations.

Amir-Abdollhian added: "The Islamic Republic of Iran does not consider the war in Gaza or anywhere in the world to be a solution, and stressed that the efforts of the United States and the UK to spread the war into Yemen is a strategic mistake."

Iran's top diplomat stated that he had exchanged opinions with Péter Szijjártó about supporting Palestine, urging his Hungarian counterpart to do everything in his power to stop the war in Gaza and contribute to establishing stable security in the region.

Amir-Abdollhian strongly condemned the baseless accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding Russia's war against Ukraine.

The Hungarian Foreign Minister also expressed his concern about the continuation of the war in the Gaza Strip and the spread of insecurity in the West Asian region, adding: "All the countries that have a role in the international community should act responsibly regarding the establishment of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip."

Earlier, the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó spoke with the Minister of Economic Affairs of Iran, Ehsan Khandozi, regarding the development of bilateral relations. 219
