Tehran (IP) - The Iranian Economic Minister and the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in the fourth session of the joint commission for economic cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Hungary, emphasized developing economic ties.

Iran PressIran news: The fourth edition of the joint economic commission of Iran and Hungary with the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance of Iran and Hungary's Foreign Minister was held to negotiate the development of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, investment, industry, customs cooperation, agriculture, energy, transportation, cooperation in scientific, educational and technological fields.

On Thursday, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Siarto spoke with the Minister of Economic Affairs of Iran, Ehsan Khandozi, regarding the development of bilateral relations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary also appreciated Iran's interest in the issue of energy security and emphasized the importance of the energy issue for Europe and the world, adding: "Iran's stronger entry into the global energy market is in line with the interests of all countries and nations of the world."

Referring to the global drought crisis, he said that bilateral cooperation in the field of water management, including its refining and treatment, will continue.

 

Referring to the paralyzing sanctions, the Hungarian Minister said: "We all know that it is not easy to develop cooperation, economic and commercial relations due to sanctions, so both sides should try harder and better."

In this meeting, Iranian Minister, Ehsan Khandouzi said: "Despite the restrictions of Western countries for Iran, Hungary has maintained its independent policy in developing relations with Iran, and this trend continues to grow."

The Minister of Economy of Iran further added: "The continuous meetings between the two countries show the determination of the two sides in the development of relations, and Hungary has taken independent positions in its foreign policy."

"The presence of the Hungarian trade delegation together with the foreign minister of this country shows the importance of this issue," Khandouzi noted. 

In this meeting, the final document of the joint commission and 4 memorandums of understanding on bilateral cooperation were signed. 219
