Allegiance renewal ceremony of Lt. Gen Soleimani to be held in Tehran

Tehran (IP): A ceremony for renewing allegiance to Commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) will be held in Tehran.

Iran Press/Iran News: Ceremony for renewing allegiance to the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani is scheduled to be held today (Sunday) at the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs in Tehran.

Minister of Sports, Head of the National Olympic Committee, Guard Corps Commanders, Basij Commanders, Families of Martyr Athletes  and Sports Champions will attend the ceremony.

The body of the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and his martyred companions arrived at Ahvaz International Airport, Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran a few hours ago.

Hundreds of people and officials marched in Ahvaz Airport to receive the bodies of martyrs of the US terrorist attack.

Martyred Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, Abu Mehdi al-Muhandis, the deputy chief of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization (al-Hashed al-Sha'abi), along with a number of other military figures were martyred by direct order of US President Donald Trump in the early hours of Friday morning (January 3, 2020).

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was assassinated along with several senior members of Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) on Friday Morning 3 January at Baghdad International airport.

Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was awarded by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the first Iranian military official to hold Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. 

Following the martyrdom of Lieutenant Gen Qasem Soleimani and the accompanying great worriers of Islam including Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution issued a message, stressed that severe revenge is waiting for those who are behind this criminal act.
