Sheikh Naeem Qassem Delivers 1st Speech as SG of Hezbollah:

Beirue (IP) - The Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered his first speech as the Secretary General of Hezbollah on Wednesday, saying his program is to continue the late leader Sayyed Nasrallh's path and to implement his plans in all fields.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Sheikh Naeem Qassim said that Sheikh Safi ul-Din was a very meticulous man, and he was one of the people martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah depended on a lot.

Sheikh Naeem referred to the Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar martyred in Gaza a described him as a man who fought until his last breath, a legend of heroism and Resistance to the Palestinians, and the free people of the world. 

"He brought fear to the hearts of the occupiers when he was imprisoned, liberated, and he will continue to bring them fear as a martyr," he added.

He then addressed his late counterpart Nasrallah: "To our martyred Sayyed Nasrallah: For 32 years, you carried this responsibility and filled the hearts of the people with faith and Resistance. We always waited for you to speak to us. Through your words and presence, we were filled with the spirit of victory. You were and will remain the banner of the victorious Resistance, the beloved of the Resistance, the reservoir of hope, the herald of victory, and the beloved of those who yearn for a life of honor."

Sheikh Naeem also highlighted a quote from Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah when the first Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Abbas Mousawi was martyred: "They intended, by killing our Secretary-General, to crush the spirit of the Resistance within us and to break the will of Jihad. But his blood will continue to boil in our veins and will only strengthen our resolve to keep moving forward on this path."

Our Objective Is to Defend Lebanon, Liberate Lands 

The new secretary general of Lebanon's Hezbollah said that the Resistance was fully ready to face the battle with dignity in case the Israeli regime sought to impose war on Lebanon. 

Sheikh Naeem Qassem said his program is to continue the work program of the late leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in all fields including political, Jihadi, social, and cultural fields. 

"We will continue to implement the war plan that Sayyed Nasrallah set out with the leadership of the Resistance, and our course of action for the war will remain within the decided political directions."

He said: "Our objective is to defend Lebanon and liberate our lands. Our objective is to stand by our Palestinian brethren and support them. Our objective is to have a sovereign country, free from US and Israeli influence. We pay the price of our beliefs and offer sacrifices for the sake of attaining independence, dignity, and liberation, just as our Palestinian brethren are doing so too."

Hezbollah's Secretary General referred to the war on Lebanon, which started with the pagers attack on the 17th of September, and noted:

"We have always said that we do not want war, as our Sayyed reiterated always. However, we did also say: When war is waged against us, we will fight with all our might, determination, pride, and resilience, and we will emerge victorious, by God's will."
