Iran Press/Asia: On this occasion, the head of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said that all Islamic countries, especially Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, must take a united and decisive stand on Gaza. He added that unity is the need of the hour to stop Israel's expansionist ambitions and aggression in Palestine.
The Head of Jamaat-e-Islami also informed the Iranian ambassador about the declaration of the All Parties Conference on Palestine, in which all the political parties of Pakistan have spoken about the establishment of an independent Palestinian state instead of a diplomatic solution.
He also informed him about Jamaat-e-Islami's diplomatic and political efforts and welfare activities on the Palestine issue, which was appreciated by Raza Amiri Muqaddam. The head of Jamaat-e-Islami described the completion of the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline as a sign of improvement in the economy of both countries and emphasized that Islamabad and Tehran should jointly complete the project so that the people of both countries benefit.
He stressed the need for barter trade between Pakistan and Iran and said that it would not only eradicate border smuggling but also strengthen the economy of both countries. He also praised Iran's Supreme Leader Seyed Ali Khamenei's Friday sermon calling for the end of religious hatred and unity of the Ummah.
The Iranian Ambassador, Reza Amiri Moghaddam, commended Jamaat-e-Islami for its principled and active stance on the Palestine issue. He stated that this issue is of paramount importance at this time. The Iranian ambassador also expressed admiration for Jamaat-e-Islami's efforts, acknowledging that there can be different views within a country, but emphasizing the value of the declaration made at the All Parties Conference.
The Iranian ambassador added that the US and some other countries are openly patronizing Israel, and resistance will continue to stop Israel's expansionist ambitions and aggression. "We will confront Israel and will not back down on any front and the Ummah must unite within its ranks", he added
He said that the Pakistan-Iran gas project has been completed by Iran and the Pakistan government's actions are awaited on this while the Pakistani side urges boosting relations with Iran.
The Iranian ambassador also emphasized the need to implement the ECO agreement, to restore the Pakistan-Iran-Türkiye railway line and increase the bilateral trade volume.
