Malayer (IP): Aghgol wetland has almost completely dried up this year due to the shortage of rainfall, water rights, and unprecedented drought.

Iran PressIran news: Aghgol wetland in Malayer is one of the natural wetlands and the largest seasonal wetland in Hamadan province, western Iran.

The wetland is located 20 km northeast of Malayer city, and this natural wetland has been registered in the list of national monuments of Iran.

Aghgol wetland was once the habitat of various species of migratory birds, including flamingos, swans, gray geese, marbled ducks, green ducks, and storks.

Aghgol natural wetland is not happy this year due to a 54% decrease in rainfall in Iran and is stuck in the mud and is not a habitat for migratory birds.
