Tehran (IP)- In cooperation with Russia, the Iranian satellite "Khayyam" was launched from Baikonur Space Station in Kazakhstan by a Soyuz satellite Carrier and placed in the earth's orbit on Tuesday.

Iran PressIran Science: Khayyam; is one of the heaviest, newest, and most advanced remote sensing satellites, weighing about 600kg (1,322 pounds) now at the 500km orbit.
According to the announcement of Iran's space authorities, the Khayyam satellite is a sensing one capable of imaging with an accuracy of one meter.
