Iran Press/ Iran news: The Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) was established in 2002 and its secretariat is located in Kuwait. 35 countries including Iran, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Nepal, Russia, Turkey, Japan, China, Mongolia, South Korea, India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan , Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Palestine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are members of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue Forum.
Mehdi Safari, the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, hosted the ambassadors and diplomats of the member countries of "Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD)" in Tehran on Monday, January 8, 2024.
In this meeting, a summary of the activities of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue Forum since its establishment in 2002 was presented.
The programs of the Islamic Republic of Iran were also brought to the notice of the attendees during the presidency of this forum.
In the next step, the ambassadors and diplomats present at the meeting in Tehran expressed their opinions regarding the ways to promote cooperation within the framework of the forum as well as cooperation mechanisms between the embassies of the member countries residing in Iran.
At the Tehran meeting, a visual report of the tourism attractions of Yazd city was also shown, considering that this city has been designated as the tourism capital of the Asia Dialogue Forum in 2023-2024.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has assumed the presidency of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue Forum for one year from the fall of 2023.
Several programs, including the meeting of foreign ministers in Tehran, the meeting of presidents of chambers of commerce in Isfahan, the conference of tourism ministers in Yazd, are among the programs during Iran's presidency of this important Asian forum. 219
