The death sentence of eight ISIS terrorists were upheld by the Supreme Court of Iran, according to the deputy head of the Supreme Court on Monday.

'The death sentence of the eight ISIL terrorists, which had been referred to the Supreme Court, was confirmed,' said Gholam-Reza Ansari.

The eight terrorists were sentenced to death after seven court hearings. 

The terrorists were arrested following the twin terror  attacks on the Majlis (Iranian Parliament) and the shrine of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace) on June 7, 2017. The twin attacks claimed 17 lives.

The first anniversary of  the Tehran terror attacks  was held on June 10 ,2018  by the Parliament at Shahid Motahhari mosque ,  to commemorate the victims of these attacks;  those who lost their lives in  Isis terrorist attacks last year.

 

 

The event was attended by people and the families  of the martyrs .as well as  the high ranking officials  the Parliament such as Dr Ali Larijani the spaker of Majles (the Iranian Parliament)Ali Mottahari the  vice chairman of the parliament َAyatollah Mohammed Emami-Kashani a member of the Assembly of Experts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Reza Aref another member of the parliament and the  other top  political  figures.
