Manchester (IP)- The commemoration of the 44th anniversary of Iran's Islamic Revolution victory has been held in Manchester, Britain.

iRANIran PressEurope: Fajr (Dawn) 10-Day is the occasion when 44 years ago Imam Khomeini returned to Iran on February 1, 1979, after a 15-year of exile by the Shah regime, and 10 days later ended in the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Every year, Iranians mark the anniversary of their Islamic Revolution from February 1 to 11, known as the Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies.

The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 44 years ago, on February 11, 1979, ending 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.

The Islamic Revolution, led by Imam Khomeini, established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.

The headquarters of the commemoration of the 10-day Dawn of the Islamic Revolution in Manchester, England, celebrated the anniversary of the glorious Islamic Revolution by holding a ceremony. In addition to Iranians residing in Britain, Muslims from countries such as Pakistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon, and England participated in the ceremony.

During the ceremony, which was dubbed " Identity and independence, lessons from the Islamic revolution", Reza Hekmat as the first speaker, expressed the importance of the achievements of the Islamic revolution, especially the creation of the personal and collective identity of Muslims, and discussed his personal experiences of self-esteem among Muslims in general and Shi'as in particular.

He stated that the achievements of the Islamic Revolution are beyond the Islamic world, and pointed out the signs of these successes among other nations in all parts of the world, including Africa.

Hikmat considered independence as the beginning of the liberation of nations and considered it as one of the blessings of the Islamic Revolution in the contemporary world.

The next speaker, Professor Nader Ahmad from Manchester University, while honoring the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and commemorating the memory of the Late Imam Khomeini (RA), considered the Islamic Revolution as one of the least violent revolutions in history and the role of Late Imam and his charismatic personality In the leadership of the Islamic revolution, as unique and prominent.

Comparing Iran with similar countries, he considered the lack of violence in the revolution as a result of the ingenious leadership of the founder of the Islamic Revolution and the perceptive people of Iran and added that chaos still reigns in the neighboring country of Iran after two decades of overthrowing the dictator. "Nader Ahmad" pointed to the fragile power of the Pahlavi regime and the unreserved support of the West and added that while no one expected the overthrow of the Shah, it was the power of the Islamic Revolution that shocked the whole world.

In the continuation of the ceremony, competitions for different ages were held and prizes were awarded to the winners.
